HOPE RALLIES ARE AN INVITATION

TO HOPE AGAIN.

A Hope Rally is a faith-based event designed to bring hope into communities. It is intended to be a evening of hope and support to those in need.

Hope Rallies empower a community to invite their loved ones who are searching for hope and support to a hope-filled and redemptive evening hosted within a community by a number of churches.

What is the difference between a Hope Night and a Hope Rally?

The Hope Rally will engage multiple churches and agencies while a Hope Night focuses on one church or group, hosted at their location. The purpose of the Hope Rally is to bring people who are offering help in their communities together so they can offer hope and connection to their communities.

The event is held at a neutral location such as a community center or school.  The event is ignited in hope to help invited people to discover what it means to be part of a faith centered community whether they are a pastor, leader, congregational member or guest.

HOPE RALLY TESTIMONY

The Transformation:

All my life I knew of Jesus but didn’t know him. I was raised Roman Catholic. My parents split at the age of 3, and I grew up moving between parents. Elementary school was good but I began to get bullied in middle school and high school. At age 15, I smoked weed for the first time. My mother was a recovered alcoholic, which changed when she met Rich. She began to drink and so did I. Because of the bullying at school, I dropped out in grade 10 for 2 years. But by the Grace of God, I went back and graduated. At the age of 19, I got my first assault charge while drinking, mixing pills and losing myself.

After graduating, I flew out west and so did my weed and alcohol addiction. Homelessness became a thing for me. After 12 years, I came back to New Brunswick, and with me, I brought back my addictions. One drink became one puff of weed became me doing meth.

I didn’t know Jesus until I went to a Hope Rally to hear Cal speak. I read his book “Like Father Like Son”. It was then that I decided to go to the Recovery Program and I never looked back.

What motivated me to share my story with others?

I first met Cal at a Hope Rally in 2021. I hit my rock bottom that year and was hospitalized. Two months later, I ended up at ShekinahGO on Lester Ave. Because of the ministry I now know of Jesus, and I developed a great relationship with Jesus.

Homelessness, addiction, feeling alone being broken, and hopelessness is no longer who I am because Jesus saved me.

The program at ShekinahGO has helped me get grounded in God’s word daily and I love my forever family.
