Relapse Prevention Program

Discover hope and empowerment on your recovery journey with ShekinahGO's Relapse Prevention Program – an intensive 30+ day program tailored to individuals at risk of relapse.

Relapse Prevention

ShekinahGO's Relapse Prevention Program is a compassionate solution intended for individuals at risk of relapse, understanding that life's responsibilities can sometimes hinder a commitment to a full 9-month program. This transformative initiative spans 30 days (or more depending on need), offering an intensive yet accessible pathway to recovery support.

ShekinahGO acknowledges that the complexities of life may prevent some individuals from dedicating an extended period to rehabilitation. In response, the program provides a condensed yet impactful experience, combining evidence-based interventions with personalized attention. Participants benefit from a tailored approach that addresses not only the challenges of addiction but also the real-world responsibilities that often accompany it.

By offering a focused and time-sensitive alternative, ShekinahGO's Relapse Prevention Program serves as a lifeline for those seeking to fortify their recovery journey while navigating the demands of everyday life. Through this dynamic initiative, participants gain the necessary tools to break the cycle of relapse and build a resilient foundation for sustained, long-term recovery.

At 16/17, I started selling drugs and ended up being involved in organized crime. This is when I first got addicted to drugs, and I experimented with everything. The drug of my choice was opiates to fentanyl.

At 18, I ended up in Quebec Correctional Facilities for 2 years which is where I first got clean. For the next 9 years, I had multiple relapses on opiates for different amounts of time. During this time, I also started drinking every day even when I wasn’t on drugs, I would always be drinking.

When I turned 30, after being clean and relapsing multiple times, I decided something needed to change.

I was born protestant but had not known God for a long time. I was the biggest doubter. I knew my friend had known God for years and was trying to introduce me but I wouldn’t believe it. I was withdrawing from fentanyl and still drinking and I went to the liquor store one morning, and when I got to the counter, the worker said, “have you talked to Jesus today?” I have never had anything like that happen in my entire life and for it to happen while I was asking for proof that God was real - I will have never gotten more straightforward proof.

2 days later, I gave myself to God and went to the hospital just to find out I was days away from dying soon. As I got out of the hospital, I came to ShekinahGO and have been clean off everything ever since for the first time in my adult life.

Since coming to ShekinahGO, I have lost one of my best friends to addiction. I decided shortly after seeing what God and ShekinahGO could do for me, that I wanted to be involved in God’s work with them. I know where I have been in life and if I can get through it with God, I believe anyone can given the right opportunities and support.

I don’t think there is a better place to find it than here at ShekinahGO.
