Find freedom from addictions and life-controlling issues.
The ShekinahGO Recovery Program is dedicated to helping individuals gain freedom from addictions and life-controlling issues. ShekinahGO operates as a faith-based mission with a primary focus on community-based recovery and discipleship.
Our Recovery Program is structured in four distinct phases:
-
The purpose of The First 30 Days Agreement is to assess the resident's readiness for recovery and to determine if ShekinahGO is a suitable environment for their recovery journey. This initial period is designed to provide a structured adjustment phase, during which residents will adhere to stricter guidelines. Open communication with staff will be encouraged to address any challenges and make necessary adaptations to support the resident's recovery journey.
-
To create a safe and supportive environment, we have certain expectations from our residents, which include daily participation in the following mandatory activities:
9:00 AM: Chapel
10:30 AM: 12-Step Overcomers Program
11:30 AM: Lunch Break
12:30 PM: Core Course (Bait of Satan, Culture of Honour, Boundaries, Conquering Codependency, Why Christians Mess Up, 7 Steps To Freedom, etc.)
2:00 PM - 3:00 PM: Work Detail
3:30 PM - 4:30 PM: Bible Study
6:30 PM: Share Group
-
Phase Two is stage in the program where we identify their readiness to become an Accountability Partner. This rewards their progress in recovery.
-
This phase focuses on an integration back into community, with some privileges granted based on readiness. These privileges include obtaining employment, volunteerism or going back to school.
-
This phase focuses on a reintegration back into society, with a focus on transitioning to sober-living, education and employment.
-
The successful completion and official graduation of a resident will be determined by our management and staff. Graduation is not solely based on the time spent in the program but rather on the progress made by each individual resident in their commitment to the program's principles and goals.

STORY OF TRANSFORMATION
My name is Keegan Hollett and I am a child of God. I was born into a family of 5 and I was the middle child with two older brothers and two younger sisters. I was introduced to God through church and Sunday School as a young child. The example I was given at home did not match what I was being taught at church so I fell away and turned my back on God at about the age of eleven. I endured different types of abuse throughout my childhood and lost my mom to cancer when I was twelve. These things caused me to become angry with God and to blame him for everything. When I was eleven, I had my first bout with alcohol. I ended up hospitalized with alcohol poisoning where my heart stopped and I was fortunate to have survived. I know now God had a different plan for me and it wasn’t my time to go. I quickly progressed to marijuana and then on to harder drugs regularly. I in turn became very to the people around me and my life spiraled out of control. After several attempts at recovery in multiple rehabs, I reached out drunk, sick, and totally broken again to leadership at ShekinahGO Men’s Recovery Home.
When I arrived here in Moncton, I totally surrendered my will and life to God and put my faith in Jesus. I was delivered and given Grace and am learning to actively inspect my character and let the Holy Spirit renew my mind. I have dealt with grief from the death of my mother and am getting to the roots of other types of abuse through forgiveness and confession.
I am making amends with those that I have harmed and God is restoring family relationships. When a sinful thought or temptation comes up, I take the thought captive to the obedience of Christ as it says in scripture. I try to stay grateful each day. I don’t pretend to be perfect but I am growing every day. My favourite time of day now is spending time in Worship, God’s Word and Prayer. I want to live the rest of my life sober and showing others the Love that Christ showed to me. All the glory be to Him.
